Corona- The Turbulent Time

If I correctly judge the current situation in the world, we are living in Turbulent time; living in fear where everyone scared to save oneself and its family from the menace of CORONA virus.

As India is completely locked down for 21 days now and my 8 years old son asked me about what I love and hate most in non-living things. I put lot of thought process to understand what I can categorize most in Love and Hate category, and Corona made it simple and I thought I could love it because it brought everyone closer. Families who never talked started playing, living together. Countries who fought due to boundaries and differences started discussing solution to get rid of this pandemic.  All political parties, Terrorist organization and Religious leaders started talking only one language to save human being. It never happen in past. Most of all the mother nature got into rejuvenate mode and early morning in Bangalore I started hearing chirping of birds, sky becomes more clear and air became more pollution free and fresh.

But, if I think as a human being then I should hate Corona, because its almost wiping millions of people living on earth, Its not allowing near dear one to finish to final rite of their loved ones and a fearful environment created, streets are deserted, shops are closed, businesses are in complete loss, Economies are suffering and most impacted people are the one who lives in poverty line, daily wage workers, sex workers, shopkeeper, factory workers are suffering most as they now find it difficult to feed their families in absence of regular income.

The Turbulent goes in my mind as well, and I must say this is Turbulent time where we need to have patience and courage to face this.  As Guruji states that it was turbulent time when Bhagwad Gita came up,  It was the war field when Krishna started teaching Arjuna. He didn't teach him when everything was alright, nor Arjuna ready to listen to anything unless he was put in this situation.  Hence, Gita teaches us to remain calm and steady and face the turbulence with wisdom and courage. Lets not get panic by the thought of getting killed by Corona but think about protecting ourselves and understanding the virus and it can only achieved by acknowledging the situation.  The moment we accept that this time is turbulent time or situation is bad then our mind calms down and we stops questioning or doubting about it. And acceptance should be active not passive where we just thinking of someone to come and take us out of this situation and in passive acceptance we end up blaming God or Government for not overcoming of the situation and your self-esteem goes down.

Low in self-esteem, kills your thought process and you tend to deny the situation and guidelines, you go on your own way and create your logic to justify your action and its impact overall. In newspaper lot of incident about defying of curfew by few passive thinkers and they fought with police officers, healthcare professionals and abuse the people working towards the eradication or prevention of virus and they are  majorly  responsible for the spread of this disease worldwide.  First its country of origin China denied the situation for the sake of its economy and it spread complete Hubei province and from there it went to every corner of the world and by the time they accepted it was too late and now few governments are in denial mode or in passive acceptance mode to combat this turbulent time.  However, Indian government responded responsibly and they immediately brought down the lockdown of 21 days till 14 th April 2020 and the virus is really in control. But lets do our part as a responsible citizen of this country to stop the spread of this disease by actively accepting and staying home.
